Want more control over your photos than your camera's automatic settings offer? This class is for DSLR, mirrorless, and film photographers—or anyone using a camera with aperture control. If you know the basics and want to move past auto to understand how to achieve bokeh and depth, this class is for you.
In this 90-minute workshop, you will begin with a presentation that illustrates the concepts using example photos, followed by a Q&A session. Then, with your instructor there to guide you, you’ll head out into the gardens to practice your new skills.
You’ll learn various aspects of aperture control, including how to choose an aperture, its impact on your images, and the scenarios where you might need to adjust it. You’ll
also learn about in-camera metering patterns, how to override the default metering, and the use of Exposure Compensation. Additionally, you’ll get a brief introduction to
Exposure Bracketing.
